Pictures tell a thousand words but in this case they don’t do this amazingly well-planned wedding justice. This young, vibrant, fun and local Ferguson Valley couple tied the knot on a Friday at the Moody Cow Brewery in the Ferguson Valley. We assisted with some hire items on the day but mainly with setting up the venue for the ceremony and the reception with most of the decor coming from the couple themselves.
For the ceremony, we provided a signing table and our white Gladiator chairs, but the bride planned the rest of the decor including organising the backdrop to come from Perth, and her petal cones, suitcases and blackboards were all sourced by her, apart from the flowers which were done by Scentiment Flowers (who also did the reception flowers and bouquets – check out previous posts on our Facebook page for more detailed pics of these amazing floral designs!).
After the ceremony, the guests mingled on the vast lawned area while some family photos were taken, and enjoyed a cold one or two. Lots of the guests took part in the lawn games we provided, with giant jenga being particularly popular. There was picnic-style seating on the grass tiers surrounding the building – the brewery is built on a fairly steep slope so there are three tiers of decks before you enter the building itself.
On these tiers there were some cocktail tables which the bride and groom made themselves, a few tables and chairs and plenty of space for the dance floor. The roof space was decorated with a plethora of bunting, and over the exterior decks we had our festoon lighting strung up. In terms of food, the menu was cocktail style and looked delicious (and there seemed to be more than enough too!).
Inside the brewery building, there was the cards/wishing well, the cake/cupcakes, wedding favours, a little bit of lounge seating and a gorgeous table belonging to Tiffany with a collection of family photos, and of course the bar!
We had such a great time being a part of this wedding, not only dealing with the fantastic bride and groom who were so cruisey yet organised (yes you can be both!) but also dealing with the accommodating and friendly venue owner and staff (thanks Jodes for all your help). And we were lucky enough to be featured along with some great other wedding suppliers in Cake Magazine.
Tiffany left me this message on Facebook a couple of days after the wedding. “Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. That’s all I can say. What a wonderful job you did setting up my wedding. It was everything I ever hoped it would look like. So many people commented on how lovely it looked.” Well thanks Tiffany!! But most of the credit must go to the lovely couple themselves who did such a stellar job of planning their day. Congratulations Tiffany and Brett! All the best from FVE xx
