Our October 2015 kicked off with a fairly traditional white marquee wedding at Alverstoke in Brunswick for the most excellent Jess and Wade.
All decorations by the bride. Set up – tables, chairs, setting tables, placecards, was done by us but with lots of very valuable help from Jess and Wade’s family and friends.
The couple left us this lovely message – “We can’t thank you enough for all your help! You are an absolute pleasure to work with and our special day would not have been the same without you! X”
We also strung up some lighting and assisted with furniture placement out at St Aidan’s Winery.
The second weekend in October we had hire items going to a private property in Bunbury as well as to Old Broadwater Farm. We also had a ceremony set up for a lovely couple called Zoe and Nathan, on Smiths Beach near Yallingup. It was quite a hot day and all the stairs leading to the beach meant some sweat and swearing from the FVE team – but we got it done!
This was the first wedding where we used our bamboo four post arbour – unfortunately the photos don’t really do it justice! A standout was the blackboard, which Zoe did the artwork for herself.
The following weekend was quite quiet by comparison with just dry hire items going out to Wills Domain, a private property in Donnybrook, the Lighthouse Beach Resort in Bunbury – although we did install some festoon lighting at Ferguson Farmstay for a school windup too. It did rain this weekend – on the Sunday – lucky all ours were Saturday weddings!
Second last weekend in October we started ramping up with dry hires heading off to Boyup Brook and Busselton. We had cocktail reception furniture heading to Alverstoke which we helped to set up and style (see above and below!).
Our Alverstoke bride for the weekend, Helen, left this lovely feedback…”Charmaine I can’t thank you enough – it was everything I hoped it would be and more.”
We also had furniture heading to Evedon Park in the Ferguson Valley, as well as a ceremony set up at Old Coast Road Brewery too. I can’t recall it actually raining this weekend but the skies were very stormy which has us a bit worried – but they did look great in photos.
The last weekend in October, Saturday fell on the 31st … Halloween …. oooh scary! It was a bit of a scary weekend, we had bulk weddings to organise, and I was shattered by the end, but all went well! There was a wedding for Shelley and Rhys at Fonty’s Pool in Manjimup (where it rained all day Friday, very stressful! But cleared up by Saturday), and a little closer to home in the Ferguson Valley area we also had weddings at Moody Cow Brewery, Alverstoke in Brunswick for Simon and Alisha, Wellington Forest Cottages, a stunner at Ferguson Farmstay, and a celebration in Millbridge.
We helped Colleen, our Ferguson Farmstay bride, with her styling ideas and concept for her cocktail wedding reception in the restaurant there. She left us this message … “Loved the pastel colours in the chandelier! You were amazing Charmaine!”.
We got some great shots of our third Alverstoke wedding of the month, for Simon and Alisha’s wedding … enjoy below!
This games set up led to the highest jenga this little events stylist has ever seen, it was truly epic, the lads had some mad skills!
Alisha left us this message … “Woohoo!!! Looks amazing. Thank you soooooo much it all looked amazing! You did a fantastic job. Can’t thank you enough!”
