I loved this wedding! The venue, Hackersley Estate www.hackersley.com.au is a small winery/restaurant in the Ferguson Valley that serves superb food (they recently won a Gold Plate Award for best winery restaurant in WA).
The restaurant/winery oversees a lake and rolling green hills. The look for the reception was inspired from a New York NYE celebration and the bride and groom provided me with all the decorations – the napkins, table runners, wooden blocks, and flowers, with the tartan napkins as a nod to Will’s Scottish heritage. The napkins were hemmed by the bride’s mum, Susan did the flowers herself (and did an incredible job too!) as well as making the table runners, and Will chopped up the wood blocks to the right size for the table centrepieces.
I provided a set-up and pack-down service for the day and then delivered the flowers, decorations and leftover wedding cake (that they would trust me with the cake overnight astounds me…it was delicious…just saying) to their accommodation on the Sunday after the wedding – they stayed at the gorgeous Clem&Tines Vintage Beach House.
The level of detail in the table centrepieces was just gorgeous and it was so fun to do something a bit different. It was also lovely to walk into the reception at the end of the day (it was a lunchtime wedding for around 40 people) and just walk into an atmosphere of fun, happiness and love!
Susan said “We had the most amazing day! Thank you for helping us make it happen. The venue looked amazing and I knew we were in safe hands so I could relinquish and relax!”
